Frequently Asked Questions
We have answers
Do you accept insurance?
Refined Rehab is a self-pay clinic, which allows us to provide one-on-one, high-quality care without insurance restrictions.
However, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We recommend checking with your provider to confirm your out-of-network benefits. Submit your own out-of-network claims through https://reimbursify.com/.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and other standard forms of payment. Payment is due at the time of service.
Do I need a referral from a doctor?
No referral is needed due to direct access to begin physical therapy. You can book directly with us. Some insurance companies may require a referral for reimbursement—please check with your plan if you're submitting a superbill.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated. Athletic wear is ideal. For lower body treatment, shorts are recommended.
What should I bring for a gait analysis?
Please bring your most frequently used running shoes, any orthotics or inserts you typically wear, and wear athletic clothing. If you have video of your running form or a training log, feel free to bring those as well.
What’s included in a gait analysis?
Our gait analysis includes a detailed assessment of your walking or running mechanics using slow-motion video, clinical observation, and strength/mobility testing. We identify imbalances, inefficiencies, and potential sources of pain or injury—and provide a personalized plan to improve your performance and reduce risk.
How long is each session?
Initial evaluations are typically 55 minutes. Follow-up sessions are 45 minutes, and 30-minute sessions are available for specific treatments such as BFR training or dry needling.
Do you treat pelvic floor and women’s health conditions?
Yes! We specialize in pelvic floor therapy and women’s health across all life stages—including prenatal/postpartum care, prolapse, UTI, constipation, incontinence, diastasis recti, and chronic pelvic pain. We also offer pelvic floor rehab for individuals across the gender spectrum.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat a wide range of orthopedic, post-surgical, performance, and pelvic health conditions. Whether you're managing chronic pain, recovering from surgery, or training for your next big event—we tailor treatment to your specific needs.
